Fun week

This week was busy but fun! I did not take a picture on Tuesday, so I'm posting some of the beautiful view we had in North Carolina. Maybe I should take up nature photography- it's much easier than chasing toddlers around trying to get them to cooperate! The next one was taken while scouting locations with a photographer friend of mine, Anette Ball. I think this one of the girls has to be my new all-time favorite- despite the fact that they were acting horrid complaining about the bugs, etc, and they were not dressed for pics AT ALL. I just love their expressions and the fact that they really look like they love each other! Ha! I'm going to pull this picture up when they are screaming at each other. Finally, the last one was taken this morning on the way to the school bus- today was "hat and sunglasses" day at school. She was pretty proud of her outfit.

Last weekend we were fortunate enough to travel to the mountains of North Carolina (near Brevard, to be exact) to spend some quality time with one of our favorite families, the Carithers. We have known them since shortly after we moved to Florida, and our kids grew up together until we both moved away. Brenna and Emily were best friends for a long time- they met when they were 15 and 18 months! It is so nice to see them together as if they were never apart.

I'm barely keeping my head above water these days between photo sessions, school for the kids, keeping a household, football, ballet, birthday parties, etc! We love being busy doing normal things! Anyway, my nightly blog entry has suffered- sorry, everyone, but sometimes you'll just have to wait for a big chunk of pics at once! I'll probably do a blog again next year (how could I not?) and the winter months are perfect for this blog.

Birthday Party Fun!

Didn't take a picture this day so thought I'd post another favorite from the wedding. Really wish more family would have made it down!

House is empty; kids are in school and husband at work. Time for a hot cup of coffee and some quiet time editing photos in front of my computer. Ahhhhh.....

When you have a stainless steel refrigerator, the only thing that sticks to it are gel clings. Here, Emily is helping her sisters decorate the fridge for Halloween.

Thomas and Christi's Wedding

We had the best time at my brother Thomas and his new wife Christi's wedding this weekend! All of the McCarthy grandkids were in the wedding party and everyone looked gorgeous! I had to post the outtake photo of Christi with all the kids- she looks stunning but the kids look a little tired. They did great, though, and even the flower girls surprised me by actually walking down the aisle and staying in place! What a fun, fun wedding. PS- I was not the wedding photographer, my cousin Karin was!

Can you tell how nervous Emily gets on scan days? She is as calm as a cucumber playing in the pretend CT machine right before her scan. (a clean one, I might add!!)

I'll admit- I did not pick up my camera once last week between Monday and Thursday. I was just too busy- However, I am not going to miss a day, so I went through my iphone pics and found some interesting ones that were apparently taken by some gremlins when I wasn't aware that they had my phone!
